With over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing and lighting industries, Modiehi has established herself as a visionary leader in infrastructure development and lighting solutions across all sectors of industry. Following a successful career at Reinforcing Steel Contractors, Murray & Roberts, Harvey Tiles, Concor Technicrete, and Voltex Lighting Structures, where she developed a thorough knowledge of both the construction and lighting industry, Modiehi decided to use her skills and extensive expertise in delivering innovative, energy efficient sustainable lighting solutions across all sectors of the economy.
After becoming an OEM supplier of the Nordland range of explosion proof and industrial products, Modiehi has from small beginnings, grown Ramika Projects into a highly competitive lighting supplier to all sectors of the economy and in particular has established herself as a lighting supplier of choice for most of the major mining conglomerates and to industry in general.
Her understanding of both the mining and public sectors has provided her with the insight to provide customised lighting solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in diverse applications from niche underground mine lighting applications to industrial warehouse lighting, factory lighting and hazardous area lighting.
Under Modiehi’s leadership Ramika Projects has expanded rapidly to a position where it can provide a one stop shop turn key lighting solutions for the largest industrial and mining facilities. Amongst her recent achievements is the management and supply of luminaires for the refurbishment of all the lighting at one of South Africas largest Platinum refineries. A task that required an holistic view of providing everything from lighting designs to specialised hazardous area lighting, plant lighting, flood lighting, commercial lighting, security, street and high mast lighting. The goal being to upgrade the lighting to latest technology in order to meet OHS com pliance while simultaneously achieving the company’s energy savings goals.
Modiehi has set her goals on driving excellence in all sectors where the lighting infrastructure requires the benchmarks in quality, efficiency, and sustainability to be set at the highest level.
